Full Product Description
Net claw hooks are the standard way to suspend safety nets directly from the steel frame, as close as possible below the working level. The 25mm net claw hooks over the flange of an I-section or C-section beam, giving a quick, repeatable fixing point for safety net systems installed to BS EN 1263-2 on multi-storey and high-rise steel-framed construction.
Made from 8mm zinc-plated carbon sprung steel Boris Nets has manufactured safety nets in Fleetwood since 1958, so you can order your net claws together with nets made to fit your project.

Applications
Multi-storey and high-rise steel frames — suspending safety nets directly from the steel frame as work progresses, keeping the net close below the working level to limit the fall distance.
Precast concrete decking — nets rigged beneath precast floor units during installation and grouting.
Metal decking and composite floors — nets suspended below profiled metal decking while it is laid, fixed and concreted.
Steel frame refurbishment and extension — temporary net protection during structural alterations to existing steel-framed buildings.
Compliance
Safety nets are a collective fall protection measure under the Work at Height Regulations 2005, which set out a hierarchy of control for work at height and favour collective protection over personal protection where a fall risk cannot be avoided.
Safety nets should conform to BS EN 1263-1 and be installed in line with BS EN 1263-2 by trained, competent people. Net claws are one part of the system. The steelwork must be assessed as suitable, capable of taking a 6kN load at 45 degrees, and the flange thickness must fall within the range for the hook size used.
Nets and fittings should be inspected before use and after any event that could have damaged them, in line with manufacturer instructions and FASET guidance.
