Aquaculture Netting: Sea Cages, Fish Farm Nets & Predator Systems
Manufactured to the highest standards, from innovative designs, materials and technical information gathered over 65+ Years.
Our signature product
We Supply many of the established Fish Farming companies with various products. Including large offshore cages built to withstand the most severe weather conditions, fresh water cages, anti-bird nets, anti-predator nets including full enclosure screens, sweep nets, lice tarpaulin and more. All of our products are hand produced in our Fleetwood factory. We have found success using European- manufactured netting, which in turn has ensured the highest quality and enables a reliable delivery schedule.
Predator protection
We produce robust anti-predator and secondary netting systems, providing essential defence against seals, sea lions & birds while minimising escapes and supporting sustainable, low-stress fish farming operations worldwide.
Sea Cages & Offshore Nets
Engineered for demanding open-water environments, our heavy-duty sea cage nets use premium nylon, polyester, Dyneema, or HDPE twines
Containment & Retention
Aquaculture nets form secure enclosures in cages or pens, keeping farmed fish contained within designated areas — preventing escapes while allowing natural swimming behavior and efficient feeding, observation, and harvesting in both freshwater and marine environments.
Frequently asked questions
What mesh size do I need for salmon cage nets?
Mesh size depends on the life stage and weight of your fish. Smaller mesh is required for smolts and juveniles to prevent escape and reduce stress; larger mesh is appropriate for grow-out stock, where it also promotes better water flow through the cage. We will always specify the correct mesh at the quoting stage based on the species, stock size, and your site conditions — there is no single answer that applies across all operations.
What is the practical difference between nylon and HDPE for sea cages?
Nylon is flexible, well-proven, and the right choice for sheltered sites and freshwater operations. HDPE is considerably stiffer, which is the key advantage for exposed marine sites and farms under active seal pressure — the reduced pliability makes it significantly harder for seals to push through the mesh surface. HDPE is also more straightforward to clean in-situ without lifting, which reduces both labour and downtime between clean cycles.
Do you supply complete predator enclosure systems?
Yes. In addition to single-cage anti-predator panels, we supply full enclosure systems that surround and cover entire groups of cages. Contact us with your site layout and cage configuration and we will specify accordingly.
Can you build nets to a non-standard size or specification?
Yes — all of our aquaculture netting is built to order. We do not hold standard cage sizes that require adaptation on site. If you have an existing cage system, send us the dimensions and we will fabricate to fit.
Why do you use European-manufactured netting materials?
The netting raw materials we source from European manufacturers are produced to consistent, verified quality standards that we have found give reliable and predictable performance over the service life of the net. This consistency supports our ability to guarantee the finished product leaving our Fleetwood factory.
