Our 50mm mesh polypropylene cargo netting is specified where a slightly larger mesh opening is appropriate and where minimising net weight for frequent handling is a priority. The preferred choice for tipper truck covers, skip netting, and heavy bulk cargo containment, the 50mm construction delivers excellent tensile strength and weather resistance for construction, waste management, and bulk freight operations where nets are deployed and retrieved multiple times daily.
Manufactured in our Fleetwood factory from high tenacity polypropylene with a knotless construction, each net is finished with a reinforced perimeter edge and UV stabilised as standard. As with our 45mm range, the knotless design maintains consistent mesh geometry and load distribution under sustained use.

Applications
Tipper truck and body covers — the most common specification for covering open tipper bodies carrying aggregate, demolition waste, construction materials, and soil; the slightly larger mesh reduces overall net weight, making single-operator deployment and retrieval more practical on high-cycle tipper operations
Skip netting — covering skip containers during transport of loose demolition materials, timber, mixed waste, and light bulky items; available in standard skip footprint sizes and made to order for non-standard container dimensions
Flatbed and open trailer containment — suitable for palletised loads and larger goods on flatbed, step-frame, and drop-side trailers where the cargo being carried is of sufficient dimension that the 50mm mesh provides effective containment
Container door safety nets — retaining loose cargo at the door end of shipping containers to protect operatives on opening at destination or goods-in

Compliance
Under the Road Traffic Act 1988, all loads must be properly secured during road transport regardless of journey distance or load type. For tipper and skip operations, covering loose materials during transit is a specific requirement to prevent material loss from the vehicle. Cargo netting provides a practical containment method used alongside appropriate load securing equipment.
